Cities and Travel in Oman

Video Transcript

“A lot of Arab cities and towns are kind of dirty; trash blowing around and stuff like that. But that’s not the case in Oman. Everything is very well maintained, picked up. I guess there is some public transportation, but it seemed to me that most everybody was tooting around in their cars, kind of like here in the States. People obey the traffic laws, it wasn’t four lanes of traffic on a two-lane road, like in some places [where] driving is a challenge. But not there, everything was pretty well orderly and like you would expect from anybody that grew up with the English looking after them.”

In this video, a retired Army lieutenant colonel discusses city structure and transportation in Oman.
