Country Borders in Oman

Video Transcript

“They’ve got two focuses; one is across the Gulf and looking at Iran and that, and then they, on the other end of the country, they butt up into Yemen, they share a border with Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and then they look out onto the Indian Ocean. And in the past, the Omanis were, 200-300 years ago, the Omanis were quite accomplished seafarers and did a lot of trading back and forth between the coast of Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and those kinds of places. So those are the two major population centers of the country, and they’re a long ways apart and it's very mountainous and rugged and desolate terrain in between with not a lot of anything going on.”

In this video, a retired Army lieutenant colonel discusses borders and population centers in Oman.
