"There's a culture of staring. That's not just a culture of staring at foreigners, but there's definitely a culture of men staring at women. And, just in general, people don’t have the same—it’s just culturally very different from the United States, where if you’re staring at somebody, that’s incredibly rude. And those filters aren’t there like we have them here. Generally, for me, as a woman, if I see men staring at me, I pretend that they don’t exist, and I just ignore it."
