Government Offices in Sudan

Video Transcript

“If you have any business with the government, for example if you want to get your passport or you want to get your ID, you have to take a trip five, six, seven times, and [it’s] gonna take longer than that. You go five or six, seven times and they promise you to get it ready for you next time you come after one or two weeks. And then when you come back after two weeks, [there’s] still nothing done. It generally takes a couple of months to get something ready. But if you have money and you have somebody inside there, he can make it for you. You don’t have even to leave your house. You just pay the money and call him, and they go and do it for you, if he works inside. A lot of corruption.”

In this video, a native Sudanese discusses government offices in Sudan.
