Major Cities in India

"In India it's hectic. It's crazy. When you're just getting out of the airport for example, they don't line up or what they call "queueing." So "right of way" and "people first," that kind of stuff - like giving right of way - there's no such thing. Once you get into Dehli proper, what hits people first is the dust and the smog. What you'll hear first off in the city, is that constant honking and then some of the driving techniques, what I'll loosely call it. Traffic laws are more of a suggestion than a rule, so they'll weave in and out of traffic. Honking horns for us is "get out of the way" or used by exception, but in Delhi, they use it non-stop. It's for warning, it's for yelling at someone, it's to yield right of way, it's every little thing. Not to mention the menagerie of wildlife that's in Delhi. There's peacocks, hawks, pigeons, monkeys, obviously the ubiquitous cow, or water buffalo."
