“Well every island has a ‘praça.’ Praça means, it’s like a park, where everyone gets together at night. Whether it’s boyfriend and girlfriend, or whether it’s just you and your girlfriend hanging out. It’s basically everyone gets together at the praça, and every island has one. I would have to say that every night in Cape Verde, that’s where everyone gets together and kind of interacts with each other, is at the praça. They have little bars and little restaurants, but praça is the way to go because there’s no age limit. It runs from babies to seniors, and it never closes, it’s a park.”
