"There are Jordanian Bedouins [who] made the majority of Jordan. There are the Palestinians [who] now make the actual majority. Jordan was built earlier on local Bedouins and goes back as far as Lawrence of Arabia and the promise of the country and so on. Then you have the Palestinians. Also, due to the holy sites and historically, you have minority Christians. You have the Circassians who emigrated from south Russia in the 1800s. And, due to the latest developments in the area, you have the Iraqis, you have the Lebanese, you have the Syrian refugees. Most come as refugees, and due to the relative stability in Jordan, they stay. So it’s a mixed fiber of the whole area."

In this video, a Jordanian linguist discusses the ethnic groups in Jordan.
