Westerners in Saudi Arabia

Video Transcript

“[In] Saudi Arabia, your movement around the country is restricted, very much so. They do not want Westerners moving around the country freely. In Qatar, they could care less. Rent a car, go wherever you want to go. Same thing in Jordan. Same thing in Kuwait. Saudi Arabia seems to be, out of the countries I've visited, the most restrictive both in their culture and as well as their interaction with the Western world, is they do not like Westerners coming in and just running willy-nilly all over the place.”

In this video, an Arabian Peninsula expert discusses Saudis' attitudes toward Westerners in Saudi Arabia.
